Raider Report Staff:

Caleb:   Caleb is an 8th grade student who loves to read.  His new “favorite” book is The Graveyard Book.  His favorite classes are social studies, science and reading, (of course!).  He is also enjoying being a member of the Raider football team this year! His future plans include becoming an engineer.

Kirsten is an 8th grade student who loves reading the Twilight series.  She has read all of the books multiple times!  Her favorite classes are English, social studies and science.  Her future plans include becoming a veterinarian.

Paul is an 8th grade student who is a HUGE fan of any type of video gaming, and watching YouTube.  He is the star of our video about being tardy.  His future plans are uncertain…but he knows they will involve video games in some form!

Simon is an 8th grade student who is a technology whiz-kid!   He is our go-to guy for any type of technical question.  He takes two classes at Birdville High this year, and is enjoying his first year as a percussionist in band.  His future plans include supervising in some sort of technological capacity.

Mrs. Meagher is our teacher.  This is her 19th year of teaching, and is also the Advanced Academics Specialist for our campus.  She has learned more than she ever expected in this class.  Her future plans include more of the same!

Courtyard Makeover!

14 05 2009

Last spring, Mrs. Heath’s GT classes spent a whole day revamping our school courtyard to better suit our school. Instead of being drab and boring, it’s now bursting with color! If you have time, check out all of their hard work in between classes in the courtyard on the 6th grade hall. We were able to get a donation from Lone Star Contractors for the extra sod, and we also have a donation for edging and  mulch, which will be here soon!

Mrs. Eager’s High on Life group added a reading bench, table and chairs, and shade umbrella!  They also added color with beautiful flowers.  The courtyard has inspired donations from Mrs. Fallis, and from grandparents of one of our 8th grade gardeners!  What a beautiful addition to our school!
